Strange and full of hypocrisy on US part. US kept silence during 1971 operation against Bengalis, because it was then supporting Pakistan’s military regime. Even their ambassador’s telegrams and repeated protest against war crimes was of no use.
Now, all of sudden, arrests of MQM leaders have become their concern. daal main kuch kala hai boss.

US played a key role in promotion of MQM along with Traitor Zia
They appreciated Sohrab Goth operation in 80s which caused “Saneha Ali Garh” (Just like model town script) which gave great boost
Before that , Firing at ‘last bus’ of MQM going to Hyderabad at Sohrab Goth was first move to fame MQM
(No one injured even) but big hype in Karachi

It is not true. Yahya Khan miscalculated Bengali uprising then. He thought through military operation he would crush Bengali. He was drunkard never knew what East Pakistan was then going through since partition. Watch this video and see how dumb arrogant he was. India took full advantage of that situation and get it liberated from Pakistan in 1971. Had USA not involved in 1971, West Pakistan which is now Pakistan would have also been history.
