SRT, 155 in 185 balls against SA

Though indian cricket is pathetic, that was a good test century, under pressure.
this is his third test century against SA, on SA soil, in 8 tests.

shevag scored a century on debut. same guy, whom indian selectors dismissed as being good for ODI’s only and no good for tests. But of course, with Shevag there is long way to go to prove them wrong.

ganguly’s pathetic test record continues.

Leaving ever other aspect of the match aside it was a brilliant century by Sachin. This is what he is capable of, when playing to his full potential and in full flow.

Well played, it was a treat to watch.

*Factbox on India's Sachin Tendulkar who completed his 26th test century and passed 7,000 test runs in the first test against South Africa on Saturday: *

Tests: 85. 7,000+ runs (including current innings), av 57.18 (before current innings). 26 centuries, 28 half-centuries. Highest score 217 not out.

One-dayers: 280, 10,803 runs, av 43.73. 31 centuries.

Widely regarded as the world's best batsman, has often been compared with Australia's Don Bradman, even by Bradman himself. Only one Indian, Sunil Gavaskar, has scored more test runs with 10,122.

As a schoolboy, scored 326 not out, putting on 664 with Vinod Kambli, also a future India test player.

Aged 15, scored 100 not out on debut for Bombay v Gujarat. Aged 16, youngest player selected by India. Aged 17, scored 119 not out against England at Old Trafford.

1990-1 became first overseas player to represent Yorkshire.

Has had two unsuccessful spells as India captain, first in 1996 only to be axed after 17 months as his batting form deserted him, then again in 1999 before choosing to step down.

Holds world record for one-day runs and one-day centuries. On Oct 27, made his 31st one-day century -- 146 off 132 balls -- in a world record opening stand of 258 with Saurav Ganguly v Kenya.

.anyway how many centuries saeed scored so far..

and india lose.. in each of his 3 centuries in SA, india managed to lose test. anyway, sachin, keep trying,

India losing the test has more to do with non existence of a decent bowling attack rather than the batting, even though there was a distinct lack of discpline and application by the Indian batsman in the second innings. They don't seem hungry enough to want to win.
