While thinking a topic for this post, first the above mentioned verse of Mohsin Bhopali bamboozled my mind . Then a very famous qata of honourable poet (Mohsin Bhopali ) buffaloed me .

Nerangie Siyasatye Dauran , isn’t it what we call politics specially Pakistani politics ?
I was reading an article by Javed chudary and this news really pissed me off .
On 17th November, 2007 ( wasn’t it 16 novemeber , when they formed a new government ) the Federal Board of Revenue issued necessary notification SRO 1121(I)/2007 , under which the Federal Government is pleased to exempt customs-duty leviable on import of vehicles classifiable under Pakistan Customs Tariff heading 8703 (CBR,2007).
In a nutshell it means customs-duty for the bullet proof yokes shall be assessed under normal ITP (meant for same make or model of vehicles without security features).
The given preposterous read : kooky ] reason for such a whole hearted gesture was present security scenario of the country and therefore the need for vehicles with bullet proofing/security.
Since when
Security scenario + vehicles with bullet proofing/security = lowering of incidence of custom duty on such vehicles
Urgh , don’t worry at all , I know my mathematics and analytical skills both suck big time , deadbeats indeed they are .
Pakistan import 4227 items and 81 % out of them are for common people , like you and me .
When did last I get some tax relief on such items ?
Goodness Gracious me , we are living in a country where mediocre workaday blokes don’t get free oxygen , water and sunlight and here our eminent big guns are getting tax relief on bullet proof vehicles. Now would some one please enlighten me?
How should I cry this act ? is it not treating an average Pakistani as third class citizen in his/her country ?
Heaven sake , I , myself is NRP ( Non resident/reliable Pakistani ) so get me a bullet proof when I pay you my next visit .
Oh I forget to pay my homage to Pakistani nation
Me sings :
Hum zinda qoam hain
Pai’indaa qoam hain
Hum sab ki haai phaychan
