Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit make for an exotic pair. ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and ‘Devdas’ were ethereal, while ‘Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam’ was sparkling chemistry. Now, if the buzz is to be believed then the fantasy team may be back next year with a Yash Chopra odyssey. It is being said in the film circles that the US based actress has been signed by Yash Raj Films for two films. But since the premiere movie making house of the country keeps things under extra wrappings, everyone has been sworn to secrecy.
Madhuri Dixit has been eager to make a comeback to acting but she is very clear that she’d like to give first priority to her two sons Ryan and Arin. She recently turned down Shaji Karun’s film based on Raja Ravi Verma’s life. She was also supposed to do Somnath Sen’s film opposite Amitabh Bachchan but there has been no news on that one either. Talking about the Yash Chopra directed film, then it is being said that Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee are also being considered for important roles.

Madhuri needs to be doing roles opposite amitabh types.....she's not leading lady material anymore....

She can play Amitabh's daughter, definitely not his wife though. She's not that old. Tina Munim and women from her generation are still around to play opposite Amitabh. :p

it's not a matter of age Mehnaz.....it's more a matter of how she appears on-screen.
though gorgeous, she's not the nymph (aish type) that the guys lust over. she has always appeared more mature. Look at how she comes across in Devdas.....it's clear.

But still, against Amitabh Bachan? She doesn't have to be in the leading role but seeing her play the role of a mother to grown kids (a la Hema Malini in Baghban) does not sit well with me.
