Wonderful game guys. I was at smooth_guy’s place last night and some other friends were over too. None of them believed me when i told them Pak would pull through. The conversation went like this
Cheegum: Pak will make it
Smooth_Guy: Kahaan yaar, theyre 2 down already.
Cheegum: Well, bekaar bekaar out huay hain.
Smooth_Guy: Kon kon?
Cheegum: Younis Khan and Farhat.
Smooth_Guy: Ohh acha true then we have a chance!
And look what happened!

What a defiant performance by Malik and Faisal Iqbal. Finally Malik grasped his chance as an opener. Doesnt matter how placid wicket was, he still showed remarkable temperament and concentration and saw pakistan through.
For those who were criticizing Faisal Iqbal earlier can eat their words. He is a very talented player and showed he can play long innings when it matters.
It is a great escape but the ease with which pakistan let SL off the hook after they were 32-5 shows a lack of aggression and killer punch. Someone should talk to Inzimam that he shouldnt fear few runs when wickets are there to be taken.
Off to second test and I am optimistic about our chances
