Prasad to Asad Shafiq, 1 run, back of length delivery on the stumps, it's whipped to deep midwicket and Shafiq gets to his half-century, his ninth in Tests. He has been assured in his strokeplay and has thrived in the presence of Younis in this innings. Big relief for him after a string of low scores

5.59 pm The light meters are out.. and the players are walking away as it's too dark. A complete turnaround of a day for Pakistan, all fashioned by superlative century from Younis Khan with useful support from his captain and Asad Shafiq. The picture had looked quite grim for the visitors when they were 59 for 3 at lunch, but since then, they have scored 81 and 121 runs in the next two sessions to redeem the captain's decision to bat first.

The umpire says not out straight away, probably judging by the impact point, which was in front of middle and leg stump.. But Rangana is hedging on the straightening of the ball.. hello hello, YK has got a glove on that one.. he keeps falling on the right side of these reviews. This is the third one

Lunch Younis Khan has led Pakistan into a position of strength in this session as well. The visitors concentrated hard in the first hour of the morning before opening up in the second. And they hit where it hurt the most, taking apart Rangana Herath, Sri Lanka's best bowler. Asad Shafiq missed out on a century but Sarfaraz Ahmed's innings has fuelled the urgency. With batting conditions staying benign, Pakistan would be eyeing much more than 400 here.

Pakistan scored 86 Runs in 26 overs with lose of 1 wickets. Sarfraz almost repeating his last test inning of Sharjah which played an important role in Pakistan Victory.

sarfraz has a first class average of 40+....more than most of regular Pakistani players in the team and i used to wonder why the hell he bats so poorly at the international level...looks like he is coming to terms with the test cricket..if he can bat well it will be a huge bonus because i think he is a better keeper than akmal brothers...

450+ and then ajmal needs to show his magic....ajmal will be the key. I am also hoping that somehow waqar younis will reinvigorate junaid khan and will bring back his lost swing .........................
I luv Waqar Younis! there was no fast bowler like him.................especially wikkie of 1989-1996! my generation is lucky to see him live and share those memories

sarfraz seems to be batting well. If he can cement his place it will be great for pak as we desperately need a wicket keeper who can bat as well.
