Sri Lanka have crushed Pakistan by 104 runs to complete a 3-0 rout in their one-day series.
Pakistan were shot out for 137 after in-form Marvan Atapattu hit 77 out of Sri Lanka’s total of 241 for nine.
Atapattu, who finished the series with 253 runs, claimed his second man-of-the-match prize. He batted for 91 balls and hit four fours in posting his 21st half century in his 92nd one-day game.
Pakistan captain Anwar blamed batting failure for the defeat. “We were simply outplayed by the Lankans and also faced fitness problems. We have to devise some other strategy for the test series.”
Jayasuriya said: “It was the all-round performance of the team which contributed to the victory. Our batting, bowling and fielding had been consistent throughout and we hope to carry it into the test series.”
What strategy is Saeed talking about, if only he could think of batting fifty overs, that would be a good strategy to start with.
To tell you the truth ehsan, pakistan has gone from a favourite team to a crappy team…I mean what the hell has happened to them?..they can’t even win in their own country! :sad:
They have got serious problems with their batting and bowling!

What the team needs to focus on is continuity. Younis Khan showed some fine shots, but departed early. Nazir kept the ball up to the batsmen quite well early on, but was spanked later.
On the plus side the fielding seemed remarkably improved. The youngsters were impressive, but still not upto the standards the Lankans showed; which has always been a BIG difference between the two sides.
All in all, very well played Sri Lanka! Pakistan needs to do a bit o' thinking and bring back some big guns for the Test Series.
a) The 3 senior players (not including Sohail) miss having their "other senior buddies" around. They don't seem to fit in right with the youngsters. Age matters...
b) Your used to your old team tatics, stradegy, how you used to behave, emotional, etc. Now your trying to get to know this new team, like if you were strangers.
c) New captain. Captains have different stradegies, and some can't cope to fast changes.
d) Pakistan home pressure. New rule, if you do bad, your out. The young players are really worried about that.

Its just wastage of time to discuss the team performance. If the team does not want to win..wut u can do??
So better we should do our work..
