Sri Lanka = check ; India = check ; Pakistan = check ; Bangladesh = Wrong Number?

Sri Lanka snatched Trevor Bayliss in no time. Good on their part.

India sidetracked with someone who has great leadership skills, cream of the crop, man-management at the highest level; Chandu something.

Pakistan will eventually knife it down to one individual, from the current list of three after the race comes to an end in a few short hours.

What’s happening on the East coast? Brothers have any coach lined up for them yet? No interviews, shortlists or news have yet sprung from that part of the world. Perhaps Dav Whatmore will be begging for his job back after rejection from two heavy-weights (hypothetically speaking - one light-weight and one heavy-weight). Perhaps Bangladesh already have appointed one, internal or external. Perhaps it is I who have forgotten to view the happenings on CricInfo one day while the decision was suddenly taken and now the news item has disappeared altogether and is nowhere to be seen on the site.

But on a more serious note, it will be interesting to observe the long line of candidates openly willing to coach Bangladesh. Here’s hoping that the new man’s coaching structure and style will not be too different than that of Dav, and he will continue to just build on where Dav left off (i.e., beating India where it matters the most). :stuck_out_tongue:

Except that he is 73 years old and is reported to be having memory problems.

When somebody is the "consensus" choice of a divided committee, it simply means that the choice is a WEAK one.

And we have a check for Bangladesh. Australians have dominated all but one part of the sub-continent.
