squinting

Recently, I have often caught myself squinting while driving, watching TV or in class. I have also noticed that I rub my eyes more often. So, I went in for a checkup and they give me the one-eye-closed-read-the-line test and I passed, so I came back home with no solution. Actually the nurse said, squinting could be due to lack of sleep, and as long as I don’t have a headache (which I don’t) my eye sight is fine.

BUT, I am not convinced.

Any suggestions on what I should do? Getting more sleep is impossible, at least till summer starts.

Re: squinting

I have that problem as well. For me, I noticed that squinting, watery eyes, rubbing eyes is worse when I have just done some heavy duty cleaning, after showers, when under stress. I am myopic but it isn't bad. I end up squinting even when looking at things close to me. Sigh.

Re: squinting

hmmm
ahmadjee i think it could be coz of lack of sleep...but do get a thorough eye checkup
if in the sun try wearing sunglasses too...maybe the sun is harsh for ur eyes while driving?

Re: squinting

No, it's not the sun, as I have caught myself squinting on a cloudy day.

Someone told me, proper diet (with lots of vitamin) is one remedy.
