Squats.

What muscles are squats good for?

whenever I do squats my knees feel really weak and they click. I make sure I have proper form so am wondering if I should just stop doing them?

I have the same problem too…feel very weak while doing squats…esp with barbells or weights…once im doing, going back up is a huge challenge:bummer:

add more gap between workouts … and some supplements in diet :slight_smile:

Maybe you should warm up first and start with an easy level then upgrade it as you feel it. Squats and crunches help me to have a flat belly and it really works for me. I use to do it every other day and my DH helps me to do it.

squats are an overall body exercise, i works your your thighs, glutes abdomens, back and a little bit on your shoulders, start with body weight squats and learn proper form, otherwise you can easily injure your knees (i did :bummer: ) i’ve started again and i already feel one heck of a difference in just 5 workouts, do 3 times a week only..

Squats work pretty much everything. If you have knee pain I would stop doing squats because if your form is even slightly incorrect you are going to cause yourself a lot of damage (depending on how much you are lifting).

Chest out? Chin up? Back slightly arched? Feet at 45degrees?

Op, how about stair exercises? You can get a step-up for this. They target similar areas as squats.
