amir bhai lets have a game of squash some day, pm me or email me okkk, we should get together...
It is a shame, but it looks like that squash has gone into terminal decline in Pakistan. Gone are the days of 70's, 80's and earlier part of 90's when Pakistan dominated squash. In the late 70's, at times we had 7 players in the top 10. This was followed by total domination in the 80's by Jehangir and then later on by Jansher.
Is this the end of an era for this game in Pakistan? Looks like it.
I wonder if there's any Squash academy in Pakistan? Does Jansher or Jhangir coach young players?

That's the irony. When there were no academy's or any regulated coaching system we produced world beater players. Now we have academies and coaches and we have no players. :(
actually there are 2 academies, one run by PAF and other i think by punjab squash, and juniors from those places are doing pretty good, they have won under 17 world and british open, not sure about under 19 i think they lost in finals, and are coached by Rehmat Khan who was the coach of Jansher. But there is a huge difference between junior and professional squash and basically comes down to mental toughness, and thats whats lacking in pakistan current players according to jansher, so lets wait and see what these juniors will do in the next couple of years.
Shahzada, I play every Thursday in Bramptom at Terry Miller Centre. Call me whenever you want.
Squash coaching in Pakistan is not functioning properly, I guess. I went to see live game between peter Nicole and Jonathan Powers last Sep in Toronto. The game was mostly based on techniques and new rules are even harder. Jhanagir Khan was appointed VP of world squash federation last year...I don't know how that can improve the squash future in Pakistan.
