No....I think its important that you respect the privacy of your children....Obviously you should keep an eye on them and stuff but going to the extent of checking their mail and listening to their conversations is not right. By doing that...it can give children the impression that you don't trust them...and its important for there to be trust in such an important relationship. If you don't trust your children...they may think WTH, our parents are suspicious of us anyway even if we aren't doing anything wrong so it could lead them to mess about or whatever.
