"lovelys" is plural, meaning more than one "lovely"
you only said thank you to me.
I am singular, i.e., only one person. therefore i am only one "lovely"
OK, my lovelys. Its a famous freshie phrase over her, that is why i use it. I see I'll have to teach some new UK lingo.
it’s alrite, i get you now ![]()
What if one’s own background is not perfect either ? You almost sound like mullah aschcroft with all the background checks and stuff..
Take my example; after spending almost half of my life in NA, on my own, my past is definitely not perfect. But, the stuff you did during your college frat heydays does not necessarily define your traits as an individual for the rest of your life. You learn, and you ‘grow’ as you age, and that’s life we all make mistakes and none of us is perfect.
So, when my fiance asked me some very basic questions about my general social life, I didn’t tell her anything about the past, because that’s all it is ‘a distant past’. If I was being fair? yes definitely. If you are sincere to yourself, and if you are building a relationship in present based on trust and faith for the future, then why get into all these knitty gritty details and doubts. Sometimes things just happen in spur of the moments, you got to trust the other person for all she is as you trust yourself. So, I didn’t ask anything about her past, since it doesn’t really matter. I like her for all she is, and that’s all it counts. Remember that you don’t just marry a piece of flesh, but a person, and as I said, none of us is perfect..
Nobody jumped all over you Phoenixdesi. I was quite polite in my response. :D
yeah but remmeber this only applies to guys, nto to girls.

yes u were polite...i was not talkin abt u :)
well i was not talkin abt any one in particular......it was a general comment....
Come on people you have to do some form of background checks, no matter who or where you marry, even if you marry amongst relatives.
Remember that post by SaadiaB in General where the girl got married to a New York doctor and he turned out to be a married taxi driver.
Not saying you should get a private detective to follow them around for a year and dig up every little thing theyve done in the past, but you have to protect yourself. You cant blindly trust everyone you meet.
When it comes to getting married each person (& family) does whats best for themselves, and you should do the same.
sorry itsjust topics like these get me riled up

** You all have really screwed up my original question. I did not ask for background checks on the number of past affairs. My question was strictly on financial, marital and criminal records.
Idiots! Everything for you lot revolves around SEX. Sex sex sex. Frustrated Desis!**

Actually funguy if you read my previous reply it was on topic, but the frustrated desi claim is probably still justified. :p
