With the flurry of hype surrounding the launch of Spotify in the U.S., it was just a matter of time before the streaming music provider partnered with an automaker. And today is that day.
Spotify integration will be coming to Ford vehicles equipped with the AppLink system in the near future (we can’t get a firm commitment on a time frame), allowing subscribers of the service to play songs and interact with the app using the Ford SYNC system.
The partnership and terms are being hashed out now, just as Ford and a host of developers gear up for the TechCrunch Hack-a-Thon this weekend as part of the site’s Disrupt conference in San Francisco, CA.
