*Turkish soccer fans display a huge poster depicting the conquest of Istanbul by Ottoman Turks at Sukru Saracoglu stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, before the UEFA Cup second round first leg soccer match between Fenerbahce and Panathinaikos. Shortly before the start of the first ever competitive game between Turkish and Greek soccer clubs, two Greek fans were injured in the head by flying objects when they openly provoked Turkish fans by unfurling the banner of a rival Turkish club inthe stadium. Cool banner indeed, it is a good way to teach history to some greek fans who still regard Istanbul their capital city and regard Istanbul as Constantin.
But ýt is interesting that such a clever tactic sourced from foolish Fenerbahce supporters :)
