I want to sponsor a child’s education or upbringing. How can I do that?
1- My preference is an orphan child
2- I want to be sure the money actually goes for his education or his upbringing. If he has parents, I dont want them to eat up the money
3-I dont want the authorities to use the money for crap & not for the purpose it is meant so.
Any reliable source where it can be done so? If I want I could visit the child too and see how he is doing as well, something of the sort, anyone?
Re: Sponsoring a child
I didnt find anything like that on their site. I think they just accept donations & use them where ever they are needed more.
I searched more; i think SOS village allows something like that.
Re: Sponsoring a child
SOS village would be the best option Daffy. Infact I even volunteered to teach the kids there before my uni started. It was an amazing experience :)

i sponser a child through www.namf.ca
they would send me her profile, and up to date pic, and even a mailing address if i wish to write to her. they once sent me some artwork she had made in class.
ive been doing this since 2008 (since the earthquake) and alhumdulillah its a great program.
