I was astonished to see that the writer ( Maimoona Khursheed) has dedicated the book to Babar Javed as:
"Babar Javed ke naam jinsne iss novel ki dramai tashkeel de ke isse amar banadia’.
There is no particular role for a mufti. The novel (which consist 145 pages including title and intesaab, etc) discusses the issue of Talaq and iddat on 2-3 pages. The characters of the novel say that they consulted muftis and they said this and that. But at the end of the day Babar Javed will bring Faisal Qureshi (even in a small role) because I think he considers him as naik shagun for his shahkar productions.
Coming to the question, why Salaar and Irsa keeps on missing each other.. What do you expect from a director who is on mission of converting 145 pages novel (novelette may suits this shahkar work of art) into 20 episodes drama. Bara masale ki chaat main kuch to dale ga na.
Personally, if I had to direct this novelette, I would have made a telefilm and told the story in its proper order instead of flashing back again and again. I like Humsafar as they told the story in sequence of the events rather than going back to past in flash back. Although the novel is written in flash back style.
the question is how they got married with such different personalities?
Its an arrange marriage as per the novel. Both Salar's and Irsa's brother remained business partner and Irsa's brother accepted the proposal just knowing financial status of Salaar's family. In start of the novel, Irsa is complaining to her family that knowing atmosphere of Salaar's family (which is conservative compared to khulla dhulla atmosphere of Irsa's home) why they accepted the proposal. Her mom replied that they did visited Salaar's house before accepting proposal, but during that visits they just kept on noticing daulat ki rail pail and nothing else.

To be very honest, I don't watch TV much. Probably 4-5 hours a week and that is only on weekends. I don't watch TV on week days except for News headlines and Sanjhaa on Thursdays. Currently, I'm watching Humsafar with proper attention and while watching Maat on Fridays I keep on changing channels to get glimpses of 'Kuch Pyar ka pagal pan bhi tha' on ARY, More Piya on Geo, Samandar Jheel Kaise ho on PTV besides visiting news channels if there is some funny thing (like Firdous Ashiq Awan) giving some statements, in an hour. This is called multi tasking.
wow this has to be the dumbest story ever!!! why would umera ahmed write such bakwas that isnt even true.
so many loopholes..
1. faisals partner has some nerve marrying his wife....wth is that all about
2. and then stupid Aimen went and married faisal again...is she stupid???
3. and then when saman came back to him he divorced aimen and re married that b****?? why after she ditched him and left him for his partner which btw is a big jerk too...
ARE you serious??? what a bunch of crapload and soo not realistic!!
Aimen and Faisal will live for 25 years together and finally Saman will come back after Azhar dies. Faisal is not shown as stupid but someone who is selfish, self-centered. Saman's son find out the truth and starts acting all weird which leads to Aimen thinking he turned out like Saman too so she leaves them and starts living with this family that is financially poor. Saman's son finds out she is living with some Akbar's family and comes to take her with him to his own house in Rawalpindi.
faisal saman want their son back but their son shuts them out of his life because of what they did to Aimen. Aimen finally gathers courage to tell them off and lets go of her insecurities.

So, even men are discussing Humsafar? How cool is that?
I am really horrified to read about Maat! That was the other drama I started watching and was enjoying it so far , until I read here whats going to happen!
What an idiotic story for Maat...like seriously...??
The stories I tell my daughter which are random whip ups and come from my half asleep brain are better..!!
