Its an arrange marriage as per the novel. Both Salar’s and Irsa’s brother remained business partner and Irsa’s brother accepted the proposal just knowing financial status of Salaar’s family. In start of the novel, Irsa is complaining to her family that knowing atmosphere of Salaar’s family (which is conservative compared to khulla dhulla atmosphere of Irsa’s home) why they accepted the proposal. Her mom replied that they did visited Salaar’s house before accepting proposal, but during that visits they just kept on noticing daulat ki rail pail and nothing else.
