I will admit, I read it, and man that architectural crap was too much so I skimmed over it.
Ibaad’s father is this handsome educated character who successfully runs a construction firm, he’s the perfect father in every sense, and yet when Ibaad tells him that he’s found a girl in america who he’s interested in, the cliche happens. Same opened minded father is outraged, becomes hitler dad and cuts off all ties with him. Mum is your typical desi mom, who can’t convince her husband otherwise, and sulks in her son’s judaai. Ibaad’s dad had actually fixed him up with his taya-zad cousin who lives in dubai hence his extreme reaction when his farma-bardaar son finds a girl on his own, how dare he? Ibaad dies in a car accident in dubai.
The highlight of the story was…obviously the romance between Hania & Ibaad.
