Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

Louboutins, Jimmy Choos, the list can go on and on!
Most girls love shoes and I for one, would be willing to spend extra moolah on designer shoes for my shaadi…I mean at least they can be worn over and over right?
The one I like right now is Isobel by Jimmy Choo..sparkly yet simple

What would you buy? Or if you’re a dulhan that did buy designer, which one did you get?

I had the "lace" and the clue... And am still wearin them to functions etc :D

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

Very Sparkly - not so simple. Whats the dress like?

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

so pretty!!

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

$550 :hayaa:

But they are gorgeous!!!

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

I bought mine from Aldo for $80 and they looked similar to these... I can not justify spending that much money on shoes .. But if you like the shoes and can afford it. Go for it :)

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

If I went designer, I would loooove these shoes. So pretty and practical considering I can’t walk in heels, and am quite tall anyway.

But I’m not getting married any time soon!

I would also think about getting shoes made for me, cos my feet are so awkward that shoes never fit anyway.

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

don’t forget about the purse!

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

I want some 6" Gianmarco Lorenzi crystal platforms.. Yeah, I might end up looking like some weird giant bride but I couldn’t care less :snooty:

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

pinkgrapefruit…this bride did…and that too with the same shoes you want

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

these are soooooo comfortable and gorgeous on! i bought these to wear for my sisters wedding.. and worse them at every family wedding this past summer.. good investment pair :D Can't go wrong! My sister wouldn't let me buy them for her.. I bought her badgley mischka shoes instead.

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

also side note- Louboutin not the most comfortable shoes.. i can count on one hand how many times i've worn my boots.

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

Haha I’m not anywhere close to getting married, not even engaged. These are just ideas running through my crazy girly brain :P. What kinds of shoes do you suggest?

THose are beautiful! I would prefer some peep toe at least so some of the mehndi is visible though  I am all too. And the way my rishtas are going, I aint about to find a tall guy soooo gotta keep the heels low.

good thinking! its a gorgeous purse. I feel that brides are more relaxed and interact with their guests more on their wedding day so not sure how it will look if we’re holding a purse wherever we go but my mom has always loved the cute pouch type purses.

oh wow! do you have more pictures of this dulhan? her dress is so intricate…wonder who the designer is.

Are you saying the Jimmy Choo Isobels are the ones you bought? What color! How comfortable are they? And how comfortable are badgley mischka shoes?

Ooh my sister wore the Jimmy Choo Isabel, heel was just right and she said it was comfy too

[/QUOTE]

i have the Isabel in champagne http://us.jimmychoo.com/en/us/isabel/invt/247isabelgfa/

very comfortable! Badgley- these depend on the style honestly. Each of their cuts are different as are heel heights. I bought my sister about 5 different ones. She said they were all comfortable. But the ones I have are not as comfortable compared to the jimmy choos
 and I’ll wear heels at work sometimes for 8-10 hours, so comfort is a must!

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

I cant wait to splurge away - I want Christian Louboutin Balota

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

I am coveting these.. and no its not an urban myth.. the Tiffany Blue Sole Louboutin did exist for a season.. had stop producing the shoe due to some trademark infringement problems. It does appear that if you are willing to spend the money, there is a possibility of having some custom made, although the Christian Louboutin Brand seems to keep this very “hush hush.”

 My favorite color green with the blue = meant to be mine one day.. ahhhh, i’ve a shoe sickness… and i love it.

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

^ its funny you say that because CL just took YSL, i believe, to court over the right to the red sole. they lost, so now Zara can also paint the soles of their shoes red and there goes the exclusivity factor! never heard of the blue soles but love 'em!! the green and blue are gorg! ----- oh WAIT! that was old news because apparently they DID win protection for the red soles! Louboutin Wins Protection For Red, But Don't Try To Grab Blue Just Yet

but ooh, look what i just read on a blog:
*The Tiffany blue soles were a one time collection that is no longer avaialble. Coveted doesn’t begin to describe the elusive, bordering on mythical, Christian Louboutin blue soled bridal shoes! I read some very sad forum posts by brides who wanted them but were told they were no longer available.

More digging and I found a snippet that the shoes are available, but only by ordering from a Christian Louboutin flagship store with an additional fee. With hope and anticipation I called the salon only to learn that sadly, it wasn't true. Brace yourselves ladies... The CL blue soled bridal shoes are no longer available. *Gasp, gasp, thud!**

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

i just love shoes and all the shoes above are gorgeous except those super high heeled Loubatins. They look really HOT and all but i would not want to have blisters on my feet or feeling totally knackered afterwards either. The Jimmy Choo ones look really comfortable but i just can't think of spending such money on shoes. :p

Re: Splurging on Designer Shoes for the Big Day!

^^ hehe, yep been keeping up with all of the above.. and i’ve been researching the blue sole shoes… but, I’ve this affinity for endless optimistic (delusions) beliefs… so, i’ll have them.. just a matter of time and figuring out how ;-p ia
