Splitting router connection

I have a Cisco IAD2400 series router and need to split the connection coming out of it’s Ethernet port with one going through another router to Network 1 and another directly to a switch for Network 2.

The problem is that Network 1 requires the second router in between whereas Network 2 cannot work properly if it is there. Although the gateway router has another Ethernet port, but it does not seem to be active and I don’t know how to configure it.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks.

Re: Splitting router connection

Why don't you put in a command that a certain subnet (e.g. 10.0.0.x) goes to Network 1 and everything else goes to Network 2? It should be pretty straightforward.
As for the second ethernet port, did you trying hooking in a cable and turning the port up?

Re: Splitting router connection

can you draw a picture and post it, also put the subnets those are configured..

its pretty much doable, I can assure you that.
