I thought Ijtihad meant to interpret not reform. There is no room for reformation in Islam. I was talking to someone about how Irshad Manji wants Muslims to change the Quran and delete some verses and then he said that Muslims cannot change the Quran since it's a book written and copyrighted by God and if we change the Quran then we are violating God's copyright and that is illegal. Islam is a very strict religion. People like Manji are better off leaving the religion completely instead of trying to change the religion because their attempts will be futile.
