AKA peer/amil. Does anyone know any who is good?
I know people will be like noo noo but there is nothing wrong to get a check up done just like we visit our doctors every now & then for regular check ups.

Re: Spiritual Doctors
Getting a “check up” done by Peer/Amil?
There is ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING WRONG with it.
If you have any health related issue, plz go consult with a good doctor.
And if you are suffering from some Jinn Bhoot type of issue, its all in your brain. It amazes me how even well educated people think that some Amil is going to be able to help when those Amils cant even help themselves.
Re: Spiritual Doctors
Who will decide if its all in someones brain? You will?
Sadly people only like to believe things which are visible.
If you are physically sick, you go visit a doctor.
If you are spiritually sick or need guidance, you go visit an amil too.
You need a teacher in school to teach you, you just don’t go get books on your own & start learning yourself, now do you?
Re: Spiritual Doctors
see a psychiatrist if its something in your brain. Or talk to a psychologist. Or pray, meditate, talk to Imam if its something religious. Talk to your family.
There is no such thing as a check up by peer/amil. They would only take advantage of you.

Re: Spiritual Doctors
Tissues…be careful with finding a “spiritual doctor” or aamil because many of them are frauds…especially those require payment…and do not prescribe anything from the Quran and sunnah. And be wary of anyone who gives you taweez because many people are naive enough to accept them but they don’t bother to check to see what is actually in the taweez…sometimes it’s not verses from the Quran…instead it contains a chart with numbers and strange words in Arabic that have no basis in Islam…and that is a sign of witchcraft as well.
I’m getting the vibe that you are really freaking out over this issue and you have to calm down. There are Muslims who live in countries where it is very difficult to impossible to find a Muslim “Spiritual Doctor”…so should they give up? No…they can always do ruqya (treatment) upon themselves.
Listen…you DO NOT need a spiritual doctor. And I’ll explain why. Even a legitimate and righteous spiritual doctor will just give you a list of surahs to recite. And they will advise you to maintain your 5 prayers whilst reciting those surahs for the removal of nazar or magic. So…the point is…it’s still gonna be UP TO YOU to do the work.
All you have to do is recite surahs and do “dam” over yourself…and blow in water and drink. It’s not hard. And you can set a side a time limit for yourself…do it for 2-3 months and when you start noticing that things are getting better in your life…then that’s a sign that it’s gone.
Nazar and jadu are a test. Allah has to test all of us in some way or the other. Some people get tested with their health. Think of those that are tested with a disease that doctors don’t have a cure for …or that they can’t afford treatment for. Think of those that have been tested with poverty. Think of those that have been tested with a loss that is irreplaceable. If you have been tested with nazar or jadoo…then Alhumdolillah…at least it’s a test that has a cure…right? It’s fixable. And there are so many ways or options to go about it:
Recite durood at least 3times…then recite surah ikhlaas 3 times…then ayatul kursi 3 times…then recite surah falaq and naas 11 times…but recite it in alteration…first Falaq then Naas…then Falaq then Naas…until you’ve done it 11 times…blow into your hands…and rub over your body…blow into water and drink. Do this night and day for a few weeks and you’ll be fine. Keep up your 5 prayers as well.
Recite surah Baqarah every 3 days. When you recite surah baqarah…all shaytani influences stay away for 3 days. And the magicians cannot stand surah Baqarah.
If you cannot recite surah Baqarah…then recite ayatul kursi …in abundance. Recite it 70-100 times each day…and even that is said to remove these things.
Recently I’ve heard even reciting 3 times durood…followed by 11 times surah ikhlas..followed by 3 times durood…will also help.
The last 3 ayats of surah Qalam are said to be effective in the removal of nazar.
You can purchase a book called Manzil from your local Islamic store and that contains ayats which combat nazar and magic…and it takes about 5-7 minutes to read it. You can even find Manzil online…so you don’t have to buy it.
If the above suggestions are too difficult…then just start reciting istighfar in abundance…as you are walking, sitting, driving, cooking, cleaning, ironing, etc. Just recite “Astaghfirullah…Astaghfirullah..Astaghfirullah”…even that will remove your worries.
If you can find a legit spiritual doctor…then great. But sometimes what happens is that people start becoming paranoid and thinking that …“Oh my problem hasn’t been solved yet, I must still have the evil eye or magic on me”…or they think that there is evil eye/magic on them for every little mishap that happens to them. That is not necessarily true. It could simply be that Allah is testing you…and the time for that test to be removed…has not come yet. None of us will ever be left to live this leave in total peace…where we have no kind of worries at all.
Re: Spiritual Doctors
Lastly, you have given the example of going to a “doctor” when we are physically sick.
But even expert doctors…will tell you…that there are many conditions for which a patient can just use “over the counter” to heal themselves…and for which seeing a doctor is not that necessary. The solutions that are found in the hadith and sunnah for the removal of magic and nazar and even jinnat…and they are “over the counter.”
Re: Spiritual Doctors
Thanks a lot for your reply redvelvet, finally some sensible reply in this thread.
Re: Spiritual Doctors
Sometimes over the counter drugs don’t help & how will one know to begin with? Sometimes we think its just a headache & we only need pain killer & we keep on having pain killers whenever we get headache to cure it but what if the cure is temporary & that person have a brain tumour or some other big disease which kept on growing when we were only using over the counter drugs?
Re: Spiritual Doctors
There isnt a bigger spiritual doctor than the divine word from Allah.
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
*And We reveal of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers.

Re: Spiritual Doctors
Peace @tissues,
Recently, I met a Pakistani Aalim Mohammad Iqbal Salafe who is actually from Rawalpindi - Pakistan, who was here on visit and had open sessions of questions/answers with public of all nationalities. I listened his lectures many times but never imagined that one day I’ll met him.
In his recent QA session, He answered to public to read verses from Qur’an and/or Duas as a cure. However, many other were told to see doctor for treatment.
All I can say he is not fraud / fake. ![]()
