It all started by taking notice of the option ‘Spiritual but not religious’, thought about it, and concluded this option has lots of meaning behind it.
The question is ‘Spirituality are powers or they are some sort of ranking in the eyes of God’. We sometimes mix up these two categories of people.
I am very much in the favor of the first idea, let me explain my perspective, we know some people who says just wait and see this is going to happen irrespective of logic, we don’t see the person’s connection with the authorities, but the person himself is just saying what the voices in his/her mind say. I don’t say these people can attain prophecy, but actually they are the people who have observed the situation so deeply that they can foresee the future of the situation by the help of the results attained until now. That’s what we say the science of statistics, but still spirituality differs from it since it also consider the emotional intelligence, which stats usually don’t. Spirituality mostly deals with the understanding of the souls of the living beings. I consider the good animal researchers like in National Geographic and the other similar institutions being at a height of spirituality. Similarly, I consider good marketing professionals and successful behavior scientists (that includes psychiatrists and psychologists) at the height of spirituality.
Lets get back to the second perspective, I do disagree with the second idea that is being religious is something to do with the spirituality because we Muslims have a belief that we are the truest religion on Earth, and Hindu believes they are the most knowledgeable of the spiritual philosophies on Earth, but to a Muslim a Hindu is a non religious person, and for a Hindu a Muslim is a non religious person, but still there are spiritual lords both in Muslim history and Hindu history. I am not a Hindu, therefore I don’t know much about the names of such beings, but I know for sure Hindus claims to be the most knowledgeable in spirituality. Where as, in Muslims spirituals I know a long list of saints with spiritual history. I see the difference in the Muslims spirituality and Hindu spirituality when I observe, in Islam we are often told the duties of the angels and four being the leader of their army of angels and for the evil side we are given the name of Stan and his army. But in Hinduism, they have described each and every duty of the Gods and Goddesses of good and the duties of the Gods and Goddesses of evil. The Hindus even pictures the man so called in the effect of black magic, how he is attacked by the demon. Similarly in the west there the spiritual doctors claim a person in love to be hit by an arrow of the cupid.
I am not saying that I have lasting thoughts about the topic, but I just wondered about the topic and above are my thoughts.
