Anyone do it ??? I just started this week and it is amazing !! Kicks butt !!
One hour class almost knocked my socks off. I was choking and coughing but I think I needed water. I forgot my water bottle at home. Also, my rear end hurts because of the bike seat.
Has anyone tried this or does this regularly ? Does it get any easier ???
Im actually training to become an RPM instructor...RPM is interval training on a bike and is very similar to Spin. However the music is pre choriographed and changes every 3 months. Its a fantastic workout. Yeh the 1st 3-4 times u do it-u feel like ur gonna die but its a truly great workout if u push urself to ur limits. U do get used to the bike seats but i know ppl who have gel pads to put on their seats-i tried it once and 2 b honest it made no difference. However it does get easier the more often u do it.
I dont know if uve ever tried Revolution-thats spinning but on X-bikes where the handles move and the bike has 32 gears-my gym does this form of spin and its brilliant-it takes a while to get the hang of the bikes but cos the handle bars move , u really work ur core muscles as well. Any type of RPM/Spin workout is a good form of cardio and fat burn.
cat woman :- did u get used to the cycle ? Right now, I am sooooo sore. Uff. My rear end feels like its not going to handle this form of exercise. Does it become easier ?
Sorry to be off topic, but i wanted to ask what do you guys think about water aerobics? My mom's physician has recommended her to take those classes. It has been 3 months since she started doing water aerobics, i dont see any difference in her weight yet.
I work out 3 times a week either cycling or running on treadmill. My mom wants me to take the water aerobics with her. Do you guys recommend it? Will i be losing some weight or is it not worth it? I am not over weight, but i still want to lose a few pounds. What's a better way to do that?
I love doing this at our gym listening to songs on the ipod:music:. If you keep doing it, your body will get used to the exercise and no more soreness. I just love how good it feels after doing a workout.
Water aerobics is excellent for someone who hasnt been physically active before - minimal chance of injury and yep, I'd highly recommend it.
Diva yeah, you walk like you have a carrot between your arse for a few days, but you get used to it. You also get seat pads - the pros use those because they get such tight butt muscles - they have no natural padding left! lol
