Spinal Disk Problems

Re: Spinal Disk Problems

My elderly dad also had successful disc surgery in Pakistan (he’s now in the UK) and he’s doing quite well MA! If doctors are recommending surgery you should go ahead. A friend’s husband had surgery too a while ago in the US and even though he still has problems he is much better than before. Please remember, a surgery is not a cure, just like heart bypass will not cure you of heart disease but you will have to take special care all your life.

Also, try and get pain management injections if recommended. I have another disc that is herniated (the one not operated upon) and it well after a series of pain management injections. Most discs do heal after six months but in some cases like my other disc surgery, an operation is recommended.

Prayers for your brother. I was also given an initial wrong diagnosis here in the U.S. that I had a pulled muscle (by two doctors). It was a physical therapist who used to practice in Pakistan and lived in the US now who diagnosed me and pushed me to go to the doctors again who finally re diagnosed me.
