In your home, if a child breaks something, or spills something like milk, juice, soda on the sofa, carpet, etc… how do you react? Do you punish them, do they get a spanking, do you yell or scream, make them clean it up… or is it a non-issue?
In most homes I see the parents might scream at the kid a bit like “be more careful, look what you did” kinda stuff… but I know one lady who goes absolutely nuts cuz she’s a clean freak.. and if the kids break a glass or something or spill juice, she lectures them AND gives them a spanking… on one occassion I even heard her using bad language. I was shocked at how she could get that hyper over something thats so small… after all its just a mistake and could be cleaned up… I mean we’re all human and kids do tend to be a little careless sometimes… so i dont see a reason why there’s so much sakhti on the poor babies
In my home we have a rule no eating or drinking anywhere else in the house, other than at the dining table. Accidents do happen. But it is not a big deal. Either kids will clean it or mom or I will , no yelling or screaming. If my daughter sees any of her brothers trying to have a snack or drinking anything in the living room in front of TV , she tells mom or dad and the offender ends up going to the dining table..
I have two badmashes at home who mostly don’t spill because I give them secure sippy cups for everything but yes, there are times when chocolate milk and grape juice does get on the carpet.
If I anticpate a spill…like when they are playing and drinking at the same time, they get a pre-warning before they take a drink. They usually get alerted and are careful. if it still happens, I usually give a mean nasty look and say something like, I told you… which is horrible because I hate it when someone says it to me, so I really shouldn’t do that.
But for all spills I have bought a steam vac which is my favorite gadget at home so deep in my heart I don’t have any worries! I just pretend I’m mad to give them a message.
when I was little and I accidentally spilled or broke something
my mom would kindly say "tootney wali cheez thi beta, toot gayi"
:)
I think that is the best attitude. Even adults make mistakes, maybe even more so then children. Unless they did it on purpose, there is no need for a punishment.

Yes I'm like that. Jo cheez gumna hota hai ya tootna hota hai wo kisi say bhi ho sakta hai buchcha ya bara to ghussa karnay ki kia zaroorat. Mujhay bhi ghussa naheen ata haan sirf us soorat main jub aap nain bayahtiaati ki ho.
I don't get mad at all.
My mom use to get mad. Too mad. Jub khud kuch gira deteen theen to start to laugh and we use to say now ghussa karain na ub khud par hum per to bohat ghussa karteen hain.
I didn't like that way so I don't get mad at all. Kuch bigarnay, kuch khonay main bhi Allah ki maslihaat hoti hai. So why get mad.
Buchchon ko aisay khail game aur khilonon main busy rakhain na.
Jub unko kuch naheen un kay mutabiq milta tabhi wo kichen ya idhar udhar jaatay hain.
Un main energy bohat hoti unhon nain wo sirf karni hoti hai energy agar aap wo energy sir karnay walay mawaad mohaiyya naheen karain gay to unhon nain aap kay hi cheezon main ghusna hai phir cheezain to bigrain gi hi na.
Aur yay buchchon walay ghar main aap nain Buchchon ki ponhach main anday kioon rakhaay? Is par to aap ki pitai honi chahyay.
Dawa walay itna likhtay hain buchchon ki ponhach say door rakhain.
Buchchon ki ponhach say apni cheezain door rakhain.
Unko unkay energy sirf karwanay walay cheezain dain ya seeha kar lagwa dain jaisay drawing karna, computer pay game khailna.
Jhoolay, cycle waghaira.
Undon kay makeup main achchi lug rahi ya raha ho ga aap ka buchcha.
Aap loag apnay buchchon ki aisi harkaton ki picture kheench kar yahan post kia karain na maza aay ga.
One more thing, I come from a family where if some thing broke my dad will make a comment like this:"agar chaizain totain na toh karkhanay bund ho jain"
English translation. If the things don't break then the factories which make those things will go bankrupt.
