'Spider-Man' Casting Rumors: Anton Yelchin, Elena Satine

While we’re still pondering how different Andrew Garfield will be from Tobey Maguire as the new Peter Parker in Sony’s ***Spider-Man ***reboot (tentatively known as Spider-Man 4](The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) - Movie | Moviefone)), there are some other less-cemented fill-ins to consider, too. Rumors are now circulating, by way of The Playlist, that **Anton Yelchin **might take over the role of Harry Osborn from James Franco while the also USSR-born singer/model/actress **Elena Satine **(pictured) is apparently campaigning big time – and has already auditioned – for the part of Mary Jane.

I don’t know much about Satine’s acting ability, but she seems to be well-trained, and photos I’ve seen of her prove she’s a better physical match for the character than Kirsten Dunst was. I also prefer her singing voice (here she is covering Radiohead’s “Creep”), just in case the role requires a jazzy stage performance like the one in Spider-Man 3. Satine has already portrayed MJ in a workshop for Julie Taymor’s Broadway musical adaptation of the comic book, and she was reportedly considered for the part of Black Widow in Iron Man 2.
