Spicy Snacks

I don’t like cooking long meals but normally food that can be prepared in less than half an hour. Recently I found my love for spicy, salty home made snacks. I made some tachos with bean souce ´with my own modified recipe, now I need more recipes for some tasty less calories appetizers for after dinner.

help

saadia,

how about soaking some chanay, or daal in water for about a whole day so they become somewhat softer, then baking them and putting masalay :yummy:

i do this sometimes and its a great snack

you can cut some potatoes or you can slice them..and you can sun dried them..and then you can bake them..and pour some chat masala for seasoning :)

Tomatoes?

A great recipe.

Make a pie crust. ( buy a frozen one if you don't know how)

Layer about 1/4 c. of mozorella chz. ( or any type you like)

Bake in 375 oven about 10 minutes, until chz is melted.

Boil some good fresh Roma tomatoes.. (so the skins fall off)

If you can't find any good fresh Romas..try homegrown.

Slice the tomatoes and lay them on top of the chz.

Tear some fresh basil on top. And sprinkle some nice fresh garlic.

In a bowl, mix a 1/2 cup of chz. and 1/2 cup of mayonaise with an egg.

Mix until lite and smooth.

Layer this on top of your Tomtoes, basil, and garlic.

Bake.. about 45 mins..or less..till top is bubbly.

Enjoy.

If served as an appetiser.. 1/8 of the pie..about 320 caloriers.

how about soaking some chanay, or daal ?

Whats chanay? and whats daal?

Salsa is very low calorie, way less then jelly or jam., and tastes better. ...about 5 a tbsp.

channay or chole are known as either chick peas or garbanzo beans in english

and daal-is lentil beans

how long do we bake’em and at what temp.
and in masalay do u mean chaat masala?
which masalay…namak ,mirch, khataee etc???

I have never had chickpeas, that i know of.

I have made lentil soup though.

Whats masalay?

I have soaked northern beans a day... and you cook them with bacon, or a hamn bone, but might not be something everyone would eat.

masalay r ground spices Av.Am.

Thanks all :flower2: when I will get the urge to cook, I will try these out.

Keep em coming.
