Right, I love spicy food. Like I love ridiculously spicy food, the kind that makes the eyes water and basically right to the maximum. I have eaten so much of it that some peopel’s food now feels too tasteless and pikha to me.
But, I keep getting told that its not good for health, I know too much of something probably isn’t but I got told that apparently eating too much of spicy food can result in ulcers?
:aq:
So the clever ones I put this question to you…is it true or is it a ploy to scare me? :hinna:
And how much spicy and how much spicy food do you eat?
Not just hot because there is difference in spicy and hot. Hot food (not as in temperature) is also good but it is the right combination of spices/peppers which makes the food just right.
I can cook and do taste food in between many times to get the spices right.
Unless there is some spices, the food is for the sick or babies...:D
Now for health purpose, just make sure you eat at right time. walk a little, eat something after to offset the spiciness.
Joke:
Then there was a guy who never had spicy food.
He became indulged in very spicy food one day at a desi party.
He ate large amount of spicy hot food.
When he got burned stomach, he was offered ice cream which really helped him and he was very thankful.
Next day he went to bathroom and had painful event...
And he muttered to himself:
" Come on, come on dear ice cream...., where are you?" :D
@ Shak, I LOVE SPICY FOOD!!! I need my namak and my lal mirch daily
umm so my snacks are:
sliced cucumbers drizzled with lemon juice and salt & lots of lal mirch
repeat with tomatoes, and turnips (w.o lemon), and I mix lal mirch in anything that is not sweet
my mom yells at me daily… I’ll get ulcers…its bad and so on… :nono: I eat mirch anyways, my friends get annoyed since I ask everything to be Extra spicy when I’m out @ a resturant
HOWEVER! good news! spicy food is actually GOOD for us… good for metabolism, fights inflammation, helps with digestion, and a good decongestant…think there is some thread on this
but ummmm idk about my lemon juice…too much acid? :aq:
I remember going to Nandos with a cousin, he went for the Medium spice and I went for the Max and he had water in his eyes while I felt nothing, he thought I was mental
i used to eat spicy food but when i got rosacea my dermatologist asked me to quit eating spicy food, and i change my diet no spice at all and it makes my skin better .. so yeah now i cannot eat spicy food:(
