Spiara, Panj-tan-Pak, Manazil, Qaida

:salam2:

Can we hold or touch Spiara, Panj-tan-Pak, Manazil and Qaida without ablution (wudu)? Or ablution (wudu) is mandatory? Similarly, can woman hold or touch these during her monthly periods.

The Holy Quran, be it in part or whole, has the same ruling. The majority of the scholars hold the opinions that one should be in the state of purity (tahaarat) to touch and/or hold the Quran.

However, it is said that a person can hold it without wudu as outer cover is thick. Is this true?

Walaikumsalaam,

I’m pretty sure that the outer cover counts as part of the Mushaf, so you aren’t allowed to touch or hold any part of it with your bare hands if you’re in a state of impurity. I do know that you can wear gloves and touch it though, or use a clean cloth to hold it etc - there basically has to be some sort of barrier.
