Looking at some of the threads in Life1, many woman complain about husbands spending time with their parenst/siblings and ignoring them. Well, men too yearn to talk to their parents and siblings. The thing with women is that when they go to their maikas, they are all alone to spend time with their parents/siblings and they dont have husband to worry about, but thats not the case with men. So cut us some slack.

**men should go to their sasuraals…alone!..to spend time with wife’s parents and her siblings…i’m sure, she will die of curiosity and later complain that my hubby hatched plans against me with my parents and siblings! **![]()

Re: Spending time with family
Actually it would be lovely for men to go and spend time with their sasurals alone. So they can somewhat go through what most of us women folk go through with OUR inlaws.
Re: Spending time with family
When the women go to their maikas the men can spend alone time with their family?
Not that I disagree with you I think it's important to have a healthy relationship with your parents and siblings regardless of sex.
Re: Spending time with family
My mum always says think about the future, spend as much time with your parents/ILS as you'd like your kids to spend with you when you're older.

I'd rather spend time with me grand-kids than my own kids and their spouses. But yeah how many grandparents like babysitting their grand-kids these days?

Re: Spending time with family
Last year my in-laws were passing though bad patch of their life regarding their health. So I used to call my sasoo maa every morning while driving to my work. just to check on how is she doing blah blah blah. Begum kept quiet for couple of weeks and finally she was like
“Whats cooking? kia ho raha hai yee? why are you calling ammi daily?”
