Re: spending 30k to 50k on one night makeup??
Everyone has different priorities when it comes to their wedding. Your above statements can also be said about bridal outfits, expensive venues, expensive decorations…almost everything related to a wedding.
If a bride is willing to pay 50K to a make-up artist who she believes will give her the look she wants for her wedding, and the bride can afford to pay that…then who are we to say that it’s “too much” or “ridiculous”. Its her face, her wedding, her money (or in many cases, her parents money which they’re willing to spend on their daughter).
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a bride who chooses a affordable make-up artist OR even does her own make-up (as the case with many non-desi brides). On the flip side, if someone has the money, and is willing to hire a more expensive vendor, then I don’t think anyone should be passing judgments on her either.
