What will Saudia Arabia do with the massive arms deal, I guess they need state of the art weapons to kill fellow Muslims. Meanwhile, the Syrians and many Muslims starve. Why could they not put this money to better use like develop industry, Universities, research etc?

Same can be asked of Iran now in Syria. Why can Shiites rule in Iraq but sunnis, who are majority in Syria, have to be ruled by a Ba’athist like Assad? They also helped houthis to dispose off a legitimate govt in yemen though saudi led actions leave a lot to be desired.

This is the same arabia that produced sahabis at the advent of islam and the same iraq, iran and syria that were marvels of the world back in the day but stupidity brought us down to this. I guess Muslim nations will spend the wealth on slaughtering each other and not on economic, industrial, Academic growth and to be benevolent to less fortunate and still want to be acknowledged for having high morals. We should really not focus on glories of the past but on the present and of future of our Children.
Correct me if I am wrong, Assad was elected President and he seems secular. We just had political beheadings in Saudia. Being the stewards of Holy places, Saudis should be held to higher standards.
I have dealt with both Iranians and Arabs and Iranians seem infinitely more cultured. You are right about Mullahs but they derive their power from the masses.
My personal opinion is that the population should depose the Ayyash bloodthirsty Saudi Royals.

You have so much more knowledge about the ME politics all I know that the weapons purchased for 300 Billion Dollars will be used to kill fellow Muslims. Imagine if 300 billion was used to develop industry and employ educated Muslims. That would have created exponential growth in the Muslim world.

I doubt that america would do real ToT for weapons since that is reason that indian american deal fell through, but Dow Chemical is setting up plants there so maybe saudis err south asian muzlooms might get jobs there. PAF used to fly all the new jets in the gulf since the US would embargo them to Pakistan with our on off elon musk type marriage.
