SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

What are you talking about? :grumpy:
Mr. Speed, If you are relating to the media coverage of the event then you must be well aquainted with the kind and sorts of stories the media deems important to cover and also write and say stuff out of context.

On the contrary its you who is guilty of of mocking the system and making such a big issue out of minor comments out of context.
Did it ever occurred to you that this has been an extraordinay and non alike ‘incident’ and perhaps you should have been more understanding of the incident?. I think a jackass that you are, probably eyeing an oppourtunity of crusifying Pakistan’s cricket to a point of no return. Rest assured Mr. Speed you will fall flat on your face and racist attitude. Yes! you are racist Mr. Speed and so are your Aussie countrymen.

You could have issued a justified warning to Captain Inzimam and the PCB team managment by ‘PROVIDING EVIDENCE & REFERENCES OF STATEMENT THEY HAVE ALLEGEDLY MADE TO THE MEDIA’. Here on Gupshup even the forum mods always find it neccessary to have the posters provide a related link, why can’t ICC staff do the same.

Yet again you are proving a point of your incompetency and failure to head ICC at any level of the management. You’r biased behaviour is now out in the open. You are racist and biased against the asian cricket nations.

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

Its a warning to PCB and Inzamam for the SPEED of comments. Even PCB has warned many persons (when necessary).

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

I myself found recent comments by Inzimam and PCB (Sheharyar Khan) ill-advised and untimely given that his hearing hadn't concluded yet and it's never good to speak too much before the legal proceedings have finished. Among the many problems it can create, you can prejudice your case as has been indicated by Speed himself, and even create inconsistencies in your legal defense. It doesn't matter whether Inzi and Sheharyar were right, they should all keep quiet about the matter until after the hearing.

I am sure Inzi wasn't aware of all these legal nuances, but Sheharyar Kahn should have been and should have brought Inzi up to speed as well.

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

As much as the pain in the rumpus this whole incident has been, to the effect of constantly revolving as a part of our daily lives where we are forced to unnecessarily cut the regular communication wires, I feel that this time, Speed is justified in his context. See below -

‘Moral victory’](BBC SPORT | Cricket | Pakistan muzzled in tampering row)

Speed has felt the need to raise the matter twice in the past 10 days with PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan.

Inzamam and Khan both gave a series of interviews in the immediate aftermath of the Oval Test in which they protested Pakistan’s innocence.

Then, after umpire Darrell Hair offered to resign in return for $500,000, Pakistan insisted they had scored a “moral victory”.

Team manager Zaheer Abbas gave an interview to BBC Asian Network, saying: "This proves our protest on the fourth day of the final Test was legitimate.

"This is a moral victory for us, and it’s good that now this issue can reach its conclusion.

“As for whether we need to revisit the result of the match, we’ll have to discuss it with the parties concerned.”

Sad state of affairs, really. The likes of Zaheer Abbas who can barely form one complete coherent sentence in English were camped out in the open stealing the spotlight in the media with their rubbish comments and so was every PCB official, including the chairman of the board, when that pig came out with his rubbish offer. They should have kept their mouths shut at that point in time and let the events unfold, as they did when they did. Every trash in PCB and their illeterate dead grandmothers have to come out and hog the spotlight with their 15 minutes of fame, only later to feel regretful of their own ridiculous behavior. This has become a rampant ideology which has become hard to resist in any known situation.

On the other hand, I strongly feel that the garbage comments made by Speed which literally assured that pig that he will not be held liable whatsoever, were completely biased! Why in the name of mother would you provide this level of security and assurance to this pig so early during the flight is mind-boggling. I don’t understand it.

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

Thats the whole point !
Which comments? Where and when, by whom?
I’m reading the same stuff as ^ you guys are ! I see the same matches as you do with same old run of the mill comments from Inzi “Thanks to Allah - As salam ul lakum and boyz are doing good pace and good cricket,” , what else that you have ^ heard that I might have missed?

Where is your ^ evidence ?

Did not Mr. Speed in this warning complicated the whole issue further when he is the one who should understand the ‘System’ much better than any one else ???
Is Mr. Inzimam going to get a fair trial now? :hoonh:

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

-- Moral Victory and Vindication commetns b y Abbas

-- Non stop gloating by Sheharyar Khan. Just pick any of his comments int he past two week and you'll get plenty to complain about

-- The 'Hair is in BIG trouble' comment by INzimam was perhaps the most inappropriate. I think it might have been a result of literal transation Inzimam does in his head, and his poor communication skills.

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

And yes Dhobi Bhai, I agree with you taht Speed's "defense" of Hair was inappropriate too. He think he might have done it under the guilt of having to make his emails public, but that's not a good enough excuse. As the Chairman of the ICC, he needs to appear more impartial than he did when he made those comments.

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

I guess my whole outburst is based on his 'protecting' of his own and going above and beyond. In contrast Inzi or Zaheer's comments could be taken as soft release of anxiety pressure, which uptil now no one has vented the way one should due to delayed hearings, and this IS respecting the judicial inquerry to be held first otherwise Pakistanis don't call quits until 3 or 4 are not dead and few busses and cars not lit sky high. Speed knows all this,,,

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

Are you kidding me? Absolutely, of course. Everything that you have mentioned above, starting from Abbas’s “moral victory” comments -

  1. Pakistan have earned a moral victory - Zaheer (CricInfo)

  2. Pakistan board under heavy criticism (CricInfo)

  3. “My feeling is that the ICC have already closed ranks and will penalise Inzamam heavily.” - Bob Woolmer (CricInfo)

  4. Shaharyaar Khan has launched a scathing attack on the Australian umpire, Darrell Hair, accusing him of intransigence and insensitivity, and has requested to the International Cricket Council that he never officiates in a Test involving Pakistan again.

The ICC, however, has told Cricinfo that they will not be dictated to by their member nations when it comes to appointing umpires for specific series, citing the problems recently encountered in Italian football when certain referees are assigned to certain games.

“We are not dictating to the ICC,” insisted Shahrayar. “When we have previously raised this issue…” (What issue, you goon? What issue? Ehsan Mani publicly has stated that after Hair’s incident last year involving the controversial run-out of Inzamam, he himself suggested the PCB to officially write a letter of complaint to the ICC with requesting the removal of Hair, and low and behold, they never received it from the PCB keeray in the first place.)

  • Ehsan Mani who relinquished charge as President ICC on July 7, 2006, to a question made this startling revelation “that during England’s tour of Pakistan last year, when Darrell Hair was involved in a run out incident against Inzimamul Haq, he as President of the ICC had advised PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan to register a formal and proper written complaint to ICC against the Australian umpire Darrell Hair. (Pakistan Observer)
But then look at this below:

“It is not the fact that Darrell Hair is a bad umpire, Darrell Hair is a good umpire.” (CricInfo)

  1. Hair in ‘big trouble’ - Inzamam (CricInfo)

Is it any wonder?

This milkless organization and its hypocrite theories of double standards. Never was Speed impartial in his routine comments up until now. Never he came out in the media and supported our nation which has been in pain and grief ever since that moment. When that ingrate writes a letter and demands an offer on behalf of his “the best years I have to offer ICC and world umpiring”, it is taken as a form of “Darrell’s under great stress” coupled with the garbage of “Hair did not have any malicious intent” from Speed himself. Sure, pal. That leech raped us in front of the entire world and did not mean any malicious intent whatsoever. I mean, seriously, where is the justice? Impartiality? I know we have been in the wrong and of course that pig should be in hell for what he did, but at least Speed should have half an amount of decency to speak in a fair manner. Utter rubbish and unbelievable!

“I have said to him that he is not sacked, he is not suspended, and he has not been charged,” Speed said (CricInfo).

Re: SPEED warning to INZIMAM !

This ^ is gloomy indeed and I suspect the bigger storm is in brewing by non other than Mr. Speed and Mike Proctor who being at ground zero should have done his job as they have done on various occassion, right or wrong thats besides the issue, but in this incident it portrayed both umpire as the ultimate authority (rightly so as per ICC code of conduct) but failed miserably to implicate any benefit of the doubt to any party specially in view of a perfect match in progress to a nail bitting finish.
What was their ( 2 umpires and the 3rd umpire + match referee) responsiblity, what did they do to defuse the situation?
Aren’t they equally responsible to bring a match to disrepute?

Has Mr. Speed now awaken to this ^ reality to change his attitude and shift focus to “'other matters of useless concerns” such as this warning to Inzi & the camp ?
Is this another ploy of ‘divide and rule’ scenerio ? or perhaps to divert attention from more pressing issues such as 'Get to the core issue, investiagte evidence and witnesses, and help to pass judgement ?

Pakistan camp may have been terribley wrong in saying what they said,
but was it not the case that a 3 to 4 panel pre-assigned judges of ICC were to review the evidence/se and not neccesserly pay attention to ‘who said what to whom’ in the aftermath?
Mr. Speed’s early reaction to Darrel Hair was that of a ‘Respected Gentleman’ in distress requires his pampering talk. Was this not an indication to the Pakistani camp to go ahead and issue their own clarification, moral boosting statements to the media under pressure to fulfil their contractual obligations to complete ODI series?
What if Shaheryar Khan had issued this statement to the press “Inzimam and most of his team members are God fearing, religiously inclined good sportsmen and the whole Pakistani nation is behind them”, What would have been the reaction than ?

I suspect that Verdict on Inzimam has already been inked !
2 Tests & 3 ODI suspension and kiss your match fee good bye >>> :naraz:
