Bhaijan it was Free Judiciary when it ruled in favor of the CJ in July, and it is free now. It’s just that people associate Free Judiciary with decisions they like.

Groing by history, I doubt that they will be able to get stay against the elections (a constitutional process) but then you never know ......... its "Active" judiciary!

So you are saying SC will not grant stay against presidential elections. Will it still be possible that election takes place on 6th and SC rules against Musharaf at a later date. In that case second highest voted person will automatically become president, means Amin Faheem......

Article 41 (6) of the Constitution of Pakistan.
The validity of the election of the President shall not be called in question by or before any court or other authority.

since when government of pakistan / judiciary have started to give any importance to the constitution? last i heard mushy made all the changes he needed to the constitution to keep himself in power. this current constitution is not even worth the paper it is printed on. lets face it, free judiciary / constitution, nothing will keep / kick mushy out of power…only USA holds the power. condi has spoken and all corruption charges dropped against BB. what else do u need as a proof? open n blatent talk of forging a power-sharing-deal with sum1 who just a few weeks ago was on mushy’s target list…now all of a sudden a whiplash from USA n BB is back into mushy’s good book.

With chaudries incharge of administration in Punjab, they are capable of producing better result than refrendum.

The Supreme Court validated that Musharraf's changes were all made in a way that was compliant with the law. He acted legally to do what he did - end of story.

You can call it which ever constitution you want to but facts remains the same. It is the constitution made and amended by representatives of the people be it 17th Amendment or be it 58-2(B)

When he came to power the thing all of us liked about him was his truthfulness and lack of hypocricy....
He has lost all that. All this drama elections and deals with criminals from London, Gujrat and Dubai....It would have been better if he imposed martial law and told the nation truthfully that he thinks it is the best for the nation...
This kind of legal mumbo jumbo, malafide intentions......
General really thinks people of Pakistan are really stupid......
