Re: Spectacular Opening Ceremony for CWG Delhi 2010

Delhi pool linked to gastro outbreak LOL! It’s only shiny on the outside.

There is speculation the Commonwealth Games aquatics centre in Delhi may be contaminated after more than a dozen Australian swimmers and several international stars have fallen ill.

Australian swimmers Andrew Lauterstein and Hayden Stoeckel pulled out of their respective heats this morning because of stomach problems.

Stoeckel was forced out of the 100 metres backstroke, an event in which he was considered a gold medal contender, after winning silver in the 50m but missing the final in the 200m a day later.

Lauterstein could not get up for last night’s 50m butterfly final and did not race in his 100m heat this morning.

Distance swimmer Robert Hurley has also returned home.

Australian chef de mission Steve Moneghetti today said more than 12 Australian swimmers out of the squad of about 50 had complained of stomach troubles.

Over five other Australian athletes from other sports have the symptoms, including three with gastroenteritis.

England chef de mission Craig Hunter also said toilets at the aquatics centre were not functioning properly, potentially adding to the problems.

Re: Spectacular Opening Ceremony for CWG Delhi 2010

this indians pakistanis hate each other thing, does it have to be there in every thread??

i mean you guys could actually enjoy the pakistani team being at the commonwealth games and hoping they win rather than laughing at india, it's not like pakistan is any better in terms of food or water being contaminated......i'm pretty sure people get sick there too.

Re: Spectacular Opening Ceremony for CWG Delhi 2010

Throwing the ashes of dead in rivers is something that only happens in India and not even in somalia or bengladesh unless ofcourse indians invade somalia or bengladesh and annex it.
Sources are saying ashes of dead have been identified in the swimming pools at commonwealth games 2010,India

Re: Spectacular Opening Ceremony for CWG Delhi 2010

You are spot on.

Re: Spectacular Opening Ceremony for CWG Delhi 2010

alright but i'm talking about water generally being contaminated, so i can just swallow the water from the tap or even the pools in pakistan without worry right? really doesn't matter what's contaminating the water, such things happen in pakistan too

but i wish india had not hosted this sporting event, it's not ready for such things.

Re: Spectacular Opening Ceremony for CWG Delhi 2010

yes you can. This is one of the beauties of Central Asian Repubics,Mineral water from mountains just a tap away.
