Does some one know if a GC holder male from Pakistan, need to go for special registration at the airport when going for a visit out side of US? Thanks in advance.

was he registered when he arrived in the US? if he went through registration when he arrived, then he has to register when he is departing.

No my cousin was in US on H visa when it happened. He went to register himself at the local INS office. Then he got his GC approved.

I was looking at the following site: www.ice.gov/pi/specialregistration/index.htm.
The site states that the requirement does not apply to "US citizens, GC holders etc.

Green card holders don't need registration, going or coming back.

no g.c holders are not required to register.but theres racial profiling going on and u may be asked a lot of questions before leaving because of your muslim name.
