Pakistani delegate of “Special Athletes” arrived back to Pakistan from China where they participated in Olympic games for special people, or as they call it “Special Olympic”.
Pakistani Special Athletes i think won 82 medals. It was delightful moment to see these lovely people on TV looking so happy and confident with their medals.
Such events should be encouraged and supported.

our school went to the ParaOlympics here in sydney back in 2000! we kinda snuck out of the group and stayed behind to watch this paki wieght lifter (his legs had no motion)... unfortunately he came 5th... but once we got to meet him.... he was soooooooooooo happy, and thanked us a kazillion times for coming to support him! he was also shocked as to what two paki girls were doing alone in a crowd lol
Apparently he had no support from the paki government and had to pay for everything himself.... ppl like this need to be more supported then the dumb paki cricket team (idiots lost to india!)

What was Pakistan's overall standing on the medals table? By the way, they won more medals at the previous games. So they actually declined this time.
