Speaking properly

Re: Speaking properly

stutter err...man this thing can catch on...lol

Re: Speaking properly

LOL! How would you pronounce caugh? ca-ugh?

Referring back to the topic, I gotta get rid of a whole bunch of words as well. Just recently I had a mock interview and I unconsciously kept using the word ‘stuff’ in literally every other sentence. :bummer:

Re: Speaking properly

Re: Speaking properly

Heres my input lol,

If you find yourself using "like" or "ya know" excessively, then it means that in you're head you're thinking "what I just said didnt make any sense" and thats why you follow up with better phrasing of you're idea with a "ya know" or "like " in between. I think to overcome this, you have to be absolutely sure of what you are trying to say before you say it. Follow Bush's example, if you have something in mind, say it, if you dont, silently glare at your audience. Self-confidence also plays a part in this. Dont let your listner intimdate you. As a last point, practice as much as you can, I used to carry out hours long conversations with myself in my head and it definately helped.

Hope this helped you stutterers. :D
