speaking of a beard...

Re: speaking of a beard...

Reference #1 is utterly unrelated. Quran 4:59 has no reference to beard. The posters should be very careful about quoting quran willi nilli.

Sura 4 is titled "women"[Sura Nisa] and this Khan baba X is using this Surah for Men and beards. Do you all see the irony?

Reference # 3. has nothing to do with "Islamic order to grow beard". These are a group of wise old men preferring to "let things go" for most of the year. That by the way is something common between wise (and sometimes not so wise) men of all religions and atheists. They typically grow beards.

The only true reference for this thread are 2. 4. 5.

These references clearly show growing beard is a Sunnah (and not Farz). So it is an individual's choice to follow it. If you can prove that our Messenger PBUH punished someone (or worse bombed a barber shop) for shaving beard then it is a different story.

Re: speaking of a beard…

you are wrong fasiq referes to mushrik meray bahi
if you don’t know arabic , its not my fault
similarly
99 different names of God in quran doesnt means that there are 99 God
or do you believe in 99 Gods as well

yes with Ahley kitaab but not with mushriks ( normal jews and christens ) be happy and this is not said by me but quran , if you don’t want to follow quran it is up to you

from all non muslims

charging jazya doesn’t mean that they are different from mushrik
bahi , open mind and read quran

so you think they deny the verse that
every nation was send by book Answer yes or no
don’t they know there are other nations as well to whom Allah had given books or they deny quran like you
and second if muslim can be mushrik then why ahley kitab can’t be mushrik meray bahi
how many time i should say this to you

  1. Jews and christens are not the only ahley kitaab ie given books by Allah( quran 013.038)
2 Jews and christens worship other then Allah ie mushrik (quran 009.030)
  2. One can marry ahley kitab (quran)
4.Few ahley kitab are believers and most are fasiq/mushrik (quran 003.110 )
  3. One can’t marry mushrik (quran 002.221 )

so you can marry any jew /christens who are not mushrik ie if they believe in one God only
otherwise you cannot marry

Re: speaking of a beard...

Prove me whether 99 names are there in the Quran no better PM me.

Thanks

Re: speaking of a beard...

I highly disagree with you on this, Why? To know why you need to read Quran. You will find different issues in different chapters of Quran, for example you'll see that Al-Baqarah is not only about the cow but it covers plenty of different issues about three types of humans, about bani israel, about hajj, about martyrs, about women and so on.
You're right that this ayah is not about beard but you are wrong in saying thats its irrelevent.

And above all if you read my posts in context you'll find out that it was a reply to tariqlkhan and all those who follow any traditional Islamic fiqh and opinion of ijma.

You my brother can do what you think is right as you don't follow any of these famous school of thought(i think). My post wasn't intended for you or others like you.(I'm not saying that you are wrong for not following them)

May Allah make our Iman strong and give us the right understanding of Quran o Sunnah. Amen

PS: And I can't give you a reference about killing or bombing someone for not growing beard as there isn't any example where Prophet(SAW) or Sahabah(RA) killed someone for shaving the beard nor they had these type of weapons in those days.
khanbabax's ref doesn't say anything about killing someone for not growing beard either, also I personally think Prayer(salaat) is the issue we should be more worried about than keeping or not keeping the beard.

Re: speaking of a beard…

"Verily, there are ninety-nine names of God, one hundred minus one. He who enumerates [and believes in them and the one god behind] them would get into Paradise."

(Sahih Muslim, Vol. 4, no. 1410)

and to see each name with verse reference

Re: speaking of a beard...

Even the muslim who donot belong to any of these four school of thought , can't deny that Hazoor PBUH ordered to have a beared and only thoes deny who donot want to follow Hazooor PBUH and are ashmed of being muslim and looking for excuses and deny that it is tradition not sunnah because they think having beared make their life difficult infront of their lords (americans )

Re: speaking of a beard…

^Lo bhai fatwa lagadiya ye saab ne and we muslims are the first ones to call names, anyways i dont mind. With the 99 names brother all the 99 names are not present in the quran few are from the hadith also.
I think so you have go it wrong. So dont call me names i am a muslims, good luck to you if you want names, i am trying to correct you and you are calling me wrong. Good for you anyways Allaah is there as a judge.
Next time when you copy paste read it urself, coz i am sure about it. The below quote is from the link you sent

Re: speaking of a beard…

okey let me know which one is not in Quran

Re: speaking of a beard...

They are about 21 from hadith (i am not rejecting that, but i am just trying to confirm), though i believe they are 99 names but once confirmed from the quran who am i to deny it

If i am wrong try to correct me as i am a human being.

Re: speaking of a beard...

i have seen some on the net but don't sure about them
btw this is totally new for me
similarly i have found few other names found by scholars in Quran which are not included in normal list of 99 names

Re: speaking of a beard...

Exactly even my research also had the same results. Accordingly i would like to spend some more time on this topic. I also reacted the same way as you when i heard this for the first time.
