I am preparing some cushion covers for my new sofa’s
I am keen to do some appliqué work and I need to find a really sparkly fabric , it can be a sequin fabric or just a super sparkly fabric but must have awesome shine through … can anyone from pakistan recommend a cloth name that I can look at ?
What comes to mind is a type of fabric I have heard my mom refer to as "moonlight" because it is sparkly. It's used to make clothes and could work for cushions too.
THanks RV, I am already aware of the Moonlight fabric , got that as a table runner at the moment .. but its not sparkly enough for me , I need something a couple of notches higher in the shimmer and sparkle ...
A friend recommended Sequin cloth that is available in pakistan .. anyone here knows if that is a good cloth?
Actually, CB, your friend is right. That sequined cloth is quite popular for cushion covers etc. I dont know itd exact name, but ive seen many ladies buy that from pathan wali shops, where nets, laces are sold.
That sequin wala kapra is available in kehkashaan market near forum in karachi. Its available in many colors. Also the moon light and many other shiny fabrics you can get from there. I don't know the names though
oh my god how did you upload all those! CB please let me know where youll be ordering your sequin fabric from! I also would like two sequin cushions in a grey or dull gold.

Answer to your question: Sequin fabric. I can recommend shops in rawalpindi for that but if you need to get it from some other city then check the market where they sell net because the base fabric of sequin fabric is net. I tried taking pictures but they are not coming right. The plain ones are a bit cheaper and there are some with pattern (two or three shades of sequins used) that you might not need to applique and can use as is for the front side of cushion.
