this is a question for all the people on gupshup…
if you are engaged or married, did you feel a spark or a connection with your partner?? or were you unsure of your feelings until u got married? and how long were you engaged for? I would specially like to hear from those that had an arranged marriage…

are you engaged?? I got engaged approx a month ago it was all arranged. I do talk to him on skype and phone sometimes. To be honest i havent felt any 'spark' between us. He has a good humor, is fun loving, but despite of that i still dont have those feelings for him. Its very disturing at times to realize that ok he's my fiance, the guy i'm going to be spending the rest of my life with, then whyyy i'm not that connected to him. Why i'm not that happy and over whelmed to talk to him. Probably its just been a month, thats why... should wait and seee. I'm hoping they will develop after marriage.
Even i'm interested to know what other girls feel, especially those who got engaged recently.

I would even talk to a guy for marriage purposes if I didnt feel a 'spark/connection' or if I didnt see any developing.
You girls are either very brave or very something else.

If you are repulsed by him then oh oh, not good but if it is just the connection that is missing then time will tell
I am sure some guys can win over their brides to be but I think a month is too short a time to know how you really feel
My experience is gut feelings count, if it feels right it normally is with some elbow grease
i didnt have an arranged marriage, but i think the connection/spark is most likely gonna be felt after marriage when you get to know your hubby/wife and spend time with him and grow to love him/her inshallah :)

Umm if you have no feelings towards this guy... why are you even THINKING, OR got engaged to him in the first place? I wud get to know the guy first, and if i felt anything go ahead if not then NO WAY!
Oh and feelings wont really come after marriage maybe only the honeymoon period thats it after that its real life then your stuck! C'mon people we've had too many blindly marriage threads on here!
