I’m trying to figure out which spanx/shapewear would be good to wear under my lehnga…it’s a long kameez and my tummy/hips are the problem…any ideas?

I feel you can probably get away without wearing one. It's a long kameez with all that kaam and what not plus the way you will have your duppata draped ... your hips will be covered.
If you really wanna wear one.. maybe something that only goes around the waist - which would probably be easier to take off later. or try a long line bustier or a corset. it will hold back your tummy And define your waistline.

i had something similar for my wedding dress and the advantage is you can wear a regular bra. i find the built in bras always flatten. and also, of course, it just smoothes everything out and makes sure it drapes well. i’m all for wearing shapewear under your wedding dress!

You should ideally go to a store and try on all styles, and see which style suits your body shape and your needs best. You should not guess which bodyshaper is the one you need. Try them on. You'll also figure out what size you are.

it was on sale and cost me nothing since I had a gift card for the store that was about to expire. We’ll see how it goes! Yeah, my body shape calls for a really good sturdy bra and shapewear bras/built in bras rarely ever work for me.

I’m really not a fan of this style of shapewear. Simply because the top part will roll. And when you sit, which you will 80% of the time during the big day, you can’t exactly roll it up to get rid of that random bulge. It’s nothing but a piece of elastic right there. That’s why I suggested you should try styles out in the store, instead of browsing online. Because this style might work out for others, but might not for another person.

^ It depends on the brand- Spanx don't roll because the elastic at the top is super thin. I make sure to pull it all the way up and that my bra strap is over it so it creates a seamless and comfortable line. I don't know about this brand though as I haven't tried it.

I tried it on this same way (since it's super long) and it worked! :)
