Spanish beach landslide kills two

**At least two people, including a British woman, have been killed by a landslide at a beach on the Spanish holiday island of Tenerife.**The Foreign Office has confirmed that the Briton was among the dead.

Local officials said at least four others may be trapped under rocks which came loose from cliffs above the beach at the western resort of Los Gigantes.

Rescue workers and police are clearing rocks and boulders, which are reported to be piled up to five metres deep.

The landslide happened shortly after 1600 local time (1500 GMT) at a small beach at Playa de los Gigantes.

The area is popular with British tourists, and it was reported that the dead British woman was on holiday with her family.

Tenerife is part of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean.
