MOSCOW: Russian and Global Internet users may receive some respite as it was reported that Vardan Kushnir, the undisputed King of Spam in the country was found murdered in his Moscow apartment.
Kushnir, 35, had become notorious in Russia after bombarding Internet users in the country with unsolicited advertisements for his American Language Centre. He also operated the New York English Centre and the Centre for Spoken English.
Kushnir had been reported as saying that the use of e-mail was a legitimate one for advertising his courses aggressively. However, Russia’s users were not amused and had tried various tactics for checkmating Kushnir. These included publishing the Center’s telephone numbers all over the Web in a bid to provoke a deluge of calls. To this end the numbers were advertised as a contact number for availing cheap sex services as well as netting bargains on the real estate market.
His spamming was so irritating that in 2003, Andrei Korotkov, the Communications Minister at that time took some steps to warn Kushnir of retaliatory action, “I want to warn you that if you continue your illegal activity, then the necessary measures will be taken not just by me,” he told Kushnir in a telephone message that was repeated almost a 1,000 times one morning. These calls were directed to Kushnir’s Centre

Actually no i am not. You see the difference here is tolerance. I have never gone after someone unless i disagreed with their absurd views. I know i get under your skin minah_pa as you are "gunning for me". So be it. To me personally the random comments of some woman on the net do not matter. Though my comments do matter to you. After all why would you care what i said?
