Hubby and I are taking a trip there in June. We fly into Madrid but will be spending most of our time in Granada. We want to squeeze a trip into Morocco also (Tangiers would be closest.) We will probably only stay a night in Morocco.
I’d love to hear about people’s experiences in Southern Spain or Morocco (specifically the coastal area since we won’t have time to go all the way to Marrakesh, etc.) Any tips, etc?
Spanishgirl: Do you know any good places to stay in Tangiers? Also, what is the best location to cross at, I've heard Tarifa...? How long is the ferry to Tangiers? Can you tell me some good places to stay in Granada?
I have been to Spain about 6 years ago. My trip was to Madrid, but then without staying there we proceeded to our station in a small village where we were doing a project. During that about a month stay i visited Granada, Seville and Malaga. In addition I also visited some small cities e.g. Ronda. I can give you very general information only and not specifics, but anyway let me know if your required information apart from hotels and restaurants.......

i just booked 7 day holiday there…it is supposedly good and tht- but still im a bit unsure-i wanted 2 go egypt/turkey..but my mate insisted on morocco! it better be good now!..
so yeah…as u were al doing…some info pleaaaaaaze!..
Did you do any sightseeing while you were in Granada? e.g. the Alhambra. Any tips on that? What's the best way to get around within the city? taxi?
Thanks!
We went to Andalusia last year, rented car with GPS and no problems at all. Most of the common people do not speak English so it was helpful inside the city specially finding food places.
There are Audio guide phones available in english and other languages and by paying small amount you can rent them. The people are sent in batches for Alhambra visit so be early if you want to see most of it.
