Hi Guys,
What could I possibly bring as Souvenirs from Karachi for my work mates? Would love to bring something to eat but don’t want someone to fall sick after eating something that I brought back from Pakistan. I would love them to try something that is only available in Pakistan..
Any suggestions?

IF it's a girl then buy a fancy handmade(hand crafted) top ...stuff that is worn specially by the Sindhi people..it looks unique.
Actually that is what my Gori Aunt took from Kurrachee when she visited Pakistan.

^ good advise. Nimco is very famous in Karachi and its something that doesn’t go bad in many days. The best one is from Nimco Corner, Bohri Bazar in Saddar (http://nimcoonline.com/) as it doesn’t contain mouth burning spices like other brands/non-brands have. Nimco by United King is also very good.
Sohan Halwa is also good but you might not find the best quality in Karachi because its specialty of Multan.
In non food items, the handicrafts from Sindh and other areas of Pakistan are very famous and elegant. There are several shops of these in Zainab Market, Saddar. You’ll find some very good items there but don’t forget to negotiate the price as they tell very high prices

Go to sadar (cooperative market). you can buy cultural items and if you are buying in bulk, you can get a really good deal.
I normally buy 10-15 items for office colleagues. Once I bought pen with sindhi glass work, once key chains etc.
You will see 10s and 100s of shops like this there
for female colleagues, small purses (see below) send them into “awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww” mode

you may visit Zainab Market. I bought a beautiful sindhi style purse from there and my supervisor liked that.
