South Park aired 2 episodes (the concluding one tnite) about the mohammad-cartoon controversy…

I just watched it a few hours ago.. most of it was south park saying family guy humour is tasteless and inferior, and about various aspects of the mohammad-cartoon controversy… The link gives a brief summary..

Do you think this is going to create more protests and controversy?

Re: South Park, Family Guy and Prophet Mohammad

The article was from April 2006. A bit late, friend.

Anyhow, the recipe is simple.

1 part mostly peaceful crowd from half way across the world.
1/10000 part violent twits within that crowd
1 part selective photography, and a monotone narrative from western press about how the reaction to the cartoons was "violent"
3 parts coward American commentators itching to find a new villain, so they can raise the mantra of freedom...and how it is under threat...and how "brave" anyone is for daring to offend those rascallly Muslims (most of whom that were offended were neither terrorist or what not..but your run of the mill folk)
1/2 part gullible audience who's willing to drink the koolaid.

Sit back...let it digest...and enjoy the trip.

Re: South Park, Family Guy and Prophet Mohammad

i'm a die hard south park fan and i only saw these episodes this week..
yea i got it digested .. i find the whole thing funny.. the western press does exaggerate such things a bit 2 much but the reality is that a lot of the protests back then did turn a bit voilent..
