South Australia looking to employ Tanvir for the upcoming domestic T20

Redbacks set to replace Pakistani with another

South Australia is confident a second Pakistani player will replace countryman Younus Khan at the Redbacks.

Younus will be returning home later this month and will miss the Twenty20 series over the new year and into January.

Pakistani bowler Sohail Tanvir was the leading wicket taker in the inaugural series of the Indian Premier League.

He will arrive in Adelaide on December 28 if the planned international competition in Pakistan does not goes ahead.

SACA high performance manager Jamie Cox says officials are optimistic.
“It’s not so much if he gets picked, it’s more so if the series goes ahead,” he said.

“We all know what’s going on over there and we’re all led to believe that the series is very, very doubtful.”

I wonder how his pace and action will reflect on Australian pitches. Even more unpredictable I'd imagine. I hope he chooses whats good for him.

Why doesn't somebody look to employ Kamran Akmal for a full season for crying out loud? Extend his contract for like 5-7 years, permanently. Half of the team is gone already in ICL/South Wales/drug scandals/show-business.

comeon,, his recent performances have been good... arent they ???

What did Sami ever do to you, man? Just when he needs your support you go for Kamran. (crying like in youtube’sleave Britney alone) :bizz:

why do people object to this? i mean its not like they're playing any cricket anyway, some experience on australian pitches would be invaluable
